Xerox Printer connection at Mercy and MSW Hospital’s

Complete the following steps to establish a printer connection with the individual printers at these two hospitals.

Review Printers
Select Start menu, Settings, and Printers and Faxes
If printer’s titled Mercy Xerox or MSW Xerox are listed, printer installation has already been completed
No further changes will be required
If not, complete the following steps

Driver installation
Start at the desktop screen of the computer
Open file: P4510 WIN_P
Select Install
At next prompt, select Cancel
Plug in printer cable and wait for “Found New Hardware Wizard” screen
Select box “Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)”
Select Next
Select box “Include this location in the search”
Select Browse
Scroll down to the Xerox file and open it
Select file P4510 PCL 32 Driver
Select OK, Next, and then Finish

Naming printer
Select Start menu, Settings, and Printers and Faxes
Left click once on the words Xerox Phaser 4510N and wait 5 seconds
Left click again
Enter the correct printer name (MSW Xerox or Mercy Xerox) and press enter
Close the page

Deleting existing printer
Select Start menu, Settings, and Printers and Faxes
Left click once on the printer you wish to delete
Select “Delete this printer” from the options on the left side of the page
Select Yes
Close the page

In order to delete a printer there can not be any pending print jobs. The number of pending print jobs are notated under the name of the printer. Complete the follow process to delete the pending jobs.
