Eight Reasons To Ignore Your Credit Score
Update: 12/19/2010
Today #2 with authority on Google with quotes.
#4 without quotes. Climbed 4 positions since the last update.
Could #2 without quotes be possible?
Update: 12/15/2010
As of this date I am #8 for “Eight Reasons to Ignore Your Credit Score” searching without quotes and #2 as an authority site in Google searching with quotes.
I really don’t know what this means. Still trying to figure it all out.
Some fun.
End Update
It was never my intention to “flesh out” this post, however, something truly amazing happened.
So I’ve decided to see where this “fleshing” goes.
I found an article online “Eight Reasons to Ignore Your Credit Score” and wanted to preserve it since:
A. I have an identity theft site and thought it might be of interest.
B. I knew I wouldn’t remember the title
Now…
…usually I use delicious.com for bookmarks.
I had no access to delicious.com at the time and so decided to preserve it here, at one of my personal blogs.
For some reason (I don’t recall) I did a search on Google for the title after I had entered the title on mrbob.com only to save it for future reference.
Here’s where it gets interesting…
When Google returned the SERP I was on page 1 position 5…
…within 15 minutes of entering only the title!
15 minutes!!!
Maybe…
Since this was all totally unexpected the 15 minutes is an estimate. I’m certain it was less than 30 minutes.
Either way, that’s a sight less than weeks, months or years.
I have been assured it takes a lot of work, weeks and dedication to garner such a position.
Now…
…I believe this is true usually.
And what has happened here is a search engine fluke.
I checked on the ranking the next day and was still position 5 page 1 of the Google SERP.
When I checked on the third day I had slipped to the bottom of page one and by the fourth day I was position 1 on page 2.
So, back to the reason I’m “fleshing out” this post is to see what happens to the ranking.
Will it go back up, or continue to dive?
I’m bettin’ on the “dive” part.
We’ll see…
Update 11/08/2010
This post is in position 9 for the search term of this post without quotes, which is the natural way people search for stuff.
It is also in position 4 and 5 for searches with quotes.
This position is below Fox news, the original publishers.
So much for my theory of it taking a terminal dive :0).
